Free fingerprinting for children offered Saturday

Free fingerprinting and photo identification cards for South Lake Tahoe children and teens will be offered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Complex, 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd.

The event is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Tahoe Sierra in cooperation with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the El Dorado Sheriff’s Office.

Out of area children are welcome as well. The prints and photos taken will be given to parents for future identifications purposes if needed by law enforcement authorities. Law enforcement will not retain the pictures or prints.
