Free tennis clinic offered this weekend

The price is right on Saturday and Sunday for local children interested in tennis.

Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department is offering a free children’s tennis clinic on the freshly resurfaced courts at Zephyr Cove Park.

The two-day clinic is hosted by Hersh Herschman and Rob Wheatley of the 27-year-old Tahoe Classic tennis tournament. The instructors will help children ages 8 and up learn the correct techniques to play the game. As a courtesy to the instructors, parents are advised to bring their children on time. The free clinic runs from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on both days. Space is limited and preregistration is required.

For more information or to preregister, phone Kahle Community Center at (530) 586-7271.
