The Friends of the Library will be having a used book sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library, 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd. The 2004 Winter Book Sale will include many hard bound, paperbacks and some children’s books. Free Starbucks coffee also will be available. All funds from the sale of used books will benefit the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to purchase bargain fireside reading material for the winter at great discount prices as well as holiday gifts for that someone special.

Also available will be various signed and numbered Thomas Kinkade prints priced at $160. In addition, there will be a very limited amount of Kinkade gift items for sale at extreme discounts. The book sale will be a perfect time to shop for the Kinkade aficionado in your life. All proceeds from the sale of the Kinkade gift items will benefit children’s programs at the library.

The library is still accepting donations of books and audio/visual materials (VHS, DVD and books on tape) for the sale. Materials in good condition only and with a later copyright date would be appreciated.

Anyone who is interested in helping with the Summer Book Sale may call (530) 573-3185 or sign up at the library. Library hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The library is closed Sunday and Monday.
