Fund-raisers benefit class-size reduction

Provided to the Tribune

Sunday is a day everyone can eat both breakfast and dinner at Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation fund-raising events and the proceeds will go to the class- size reduction fund for kindergarten through second-grade this fall.

Passaretti’s is again offering a breakfast brunch from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday. The full-service buffet has proved to be a crowd pleaser for the past two months, and the program will continue the second Sunday of each month for a year. Already close to $2,000 has been contributed by the Passaretti family to the fund. Support our elementary school children and enjoy the repast with your neighbors.

Sunday evening, starting at 4 p.m., LTEF will host the “Our Community, Our Schools” Food Fest at the California base lodge at Heavenly Ski Resort. Live music by the Rip Tides as well as food, wine, beer, raffles and a silent auction round out the activities.

All the proceeds will be used for class-size reduction. Tickets are $30 per person and may be bought at the door or by calling (530) 544-8241.

Sunday is definitely Class- Size Reduction Day for South Tahoe Elementary Schools.
