Fundraiser is to help baby Kai and family

Provided to the Tribune

There is a fundraiser being held at the Tudor Pub (across from Nel’s Hardware) on Thursday at 6 p.m. for Ed McClain and Nikky Warren and their baby boy, Kai, to help pay for medical bills.

Kai was born Aug. 11, and is still in the hospital due to the rare congenital defect called gastroschisis.

It will be $5 at the door and it will include all-you-can eat appetizers. There will be a silent auction for some great prizes as well as a raffle.

Ed and Nikky are long time locals and have been a big part of our community for years.

Ed works for the Heavenly Ski Foundation and coaches snowboarding for South Tahoe High School.

Nikky coached gymnastics at Tahoe Gymnastics for quite some time before opening her own gym in Gardnerville and also worked at Sprouts for eight years. Corral is their oldest daughter who is a South Lake Tahoe high school student.

If anyone is interested in donating additional raffle prizes you may contact Carla at (530) 577-2307 or Trish at (530) 577-4135.
