Fundraiser to benefit Friends of the El Dorado County Library

Lake Tahoe Leadership 2012 and the Lake Tahoe Historical Society will host a storyteller night and dinner stroll on April 28 to benefit Friends of the El Dorado County Library.

Each stop will feature a different food, wine and story. Dinner guests will begin at Black Bear Inn for hors D’oeuvres, walk to Nepheles for a salad course, then to the Blue Angel Cafe loft for an entre and shuttle or walk, depending on the weather, to the Riva Grill for desert.

“The stories we have in store are more than entertaining and true,” event organizer Jeff Stearns stated in a press release. “They instill a sense of pride in our community and help us realize that our lives today are telling tomorrow’s stories about Tahoe.”

Though the library normally hosts children’s storytelling, the event is only for adults. Guests should be prepared for possibly bawdy tales and bring their drinking and walking shoes.

Tickets cost $65 per person. The first seating will being at 5:30 p.m. at Black Bear Inn and is expected to wind up at the Riva Grill in time for sunset about 7:45 p.m. A parking shuttle will depart Ski Run Marina 10 minutes before each seating.

Advance tickets are now available by calling 415-992-2433 or emailing
