Fundraiser to benefit South Lake Tahoe local injured in trampoline accident

Rocky Beaty fractured his C6 and C7 vertebrae in a trampoline accident on Monday, May 28. A GoFundMe campaign and account at El Dorado Savings Bank have been set up for donations.

Two beer-based businesses are teaming up to help raise money for a South Lake Tahoe local who was critically injured in a trampoline incident in late May.

Rocky's Road to Recovery Fundraiser, an event to benefit 18-year-old Rocky Beaty, starts at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Lake Tahoe AleWorX Taproom at the Y.

AleWorX is teaming up with Cold Water Brewery for a tap takeover. In addition to the beer, the evening will feature live music, a raffle, silent auction and fun activities for the whole family. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Beaty family.

Beaty — a South Lake Tahoe local, active member at Sierra Community Church, drummer, gymnast and skier — fractured his C6 and C7 vertebrae and severely injured his spinal cord in a trampoline accident.

Donations can be made directly to El Dorado Savings Bank payable to Rocky's Road.

Donations also can be made on the GoFundMe page created for Rocky (www.gofundme.com/Rocky-sRoadtoRecovery).
