Garden Club has Sunday program

The second public program sponsored by the South Tahoe Garden Club will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 9 at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd. There is no charge and everyone is welcome to attend.

The topic, “Pruning, Mulching and Preparing for Winter,” is a very important one. Instructor will be master gardener Linda Garmong, who lived on lower Kingsbury Grade for 22 winters and grew fabulous roses, while everyone else asked, “How?”

Participants should bring written questions, pruning shears, pen and pencil. Garmong is extremely knowledgeable about all mountain garden problems.
