Gardnerville couple give birth to first Barton baby of 2010

A 7-pound, 13-ounce baby boy named Yoni was the first baby to be born at Barton Memorial Hospital in 2010.

Yoni Ismael Lopez was born at 12:54 p.m. on Jan. 1 to Cinddy Lopez, 30, and Guilmer Lopez, 33, of Gardnerville. The boy was 20 inches long and delivered by Dr. Kris Kobalter.

A hospital representative said both mother and baby are doing fine.
