Gary Allen Little

Services will take place at a later date for Gary Allen Little, who passed away June 5, 2007, at South Lake Tahoe.

Gary was born Nov. 9, 1945, in San Jose, Calif., to Donald and Virginia Little. His parents built a home near Twin Bridges, Calif., in 1961. Gary had made this area his full-time home for the past 46 years. He cashiered at King’s Liquors when it shared a building with the Terry Doll Tavern. A job he very much enjoyed was that of primary operator of the Tramway at Heavenly Valley when Hugh Killebrew still held the lease on the mountain. Later, Gary served in the maintenance department at Tahoe Keys and operated the “dragon” weed-pulling vessel. Short-wave radio listening and the collecting of antique militaria were among his hobbies. Those who knew him well will fondly remember Gary’s heartfelt conservative political values and gentle manner. He will be greatly missed.

Gary is survived by his sister, Carolyn Johnson of Kings Beach, Calif.; and brother, Donald Little of Granite Bay, Calif.

Final services will be celebrated when Gary’s cremains are committed to the seas at a time yet unscheduled.
