George T. Spiros

George Thomas Spiros, 62, passed away Oct. 9, 2006, in Carson City, Nev. George was born Oct. 1, 1944, in San Francisco to Thomas G. Spiros and Julie Moran. George later moved to Modesto and attended Modesto High School.

George married Pat Chaves May 1, 1971, at Lake Tahoe. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He worked in the gaming industry as a dealer and supervisor and lived in this area for 30 years.

He loved his family, children, traveling and having a good time.

George was preceded in death by his parents and sister Georgia Stark.

George is survived by his wife, Pat Spiros, of South Lake Tahoe; son Jonathan Spiros of South Lake Tahoe; son Jeff Spiros of Las Vegas; daughter Jennifer Spiros of Watsonville, Calif.; and granddaughter Brittany Spiros of South Lake Tahoe.

There will be a graveside service today at 3 p.m. at Lone Mountain Cemetery with military honors.

The mortuary in charge of arrangements is Capitol City Cremation, (775) 882-1766.
