Lake Tahoe Golf Course will feature its signature drink, the Happier Gilmore, at Friday’s Business Expo.

Lake Tahoe Golf Course Food and Beverage Director David Smith created the Happier Gilmore. Smith said, “Seeing that there are a few summer traditions of Rum Runners here in Tahoe, I decided to put a golf flair version in play.”

It is a variation on the theme, incorporating coconut rum, island blend of fruit juices and topped with dark rum in a souvenir cup.

“We even have a Happier Gilmore poker chip good for one free Gilmore if you are that unhappier, or lucky enough to get one,” Smith added.

The Happier Gilmore came about last season and quickly became a course favorite, according to Smith.

The Lake Tahoe Golf Course will soon to be featuring the Happier Gilmore with Apres Golf on the new deck. “Happier Hours” take place Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. along with nightly specialty food offers.

The 2015 Business Expo takes place from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Harrah’s Convention Center in Stateline.
