Gilberte P. Roberts

A celebration of life is planned Oct. 27 in Quebec City, Canada, for Gilberte P. Roberts, who died July 24, 2007, a week after her 96th birthday, at her home in Reno, Nev.

A wonderful companion to Mrs. Kearns of New York City for more than 30 years, Gil reunited with her sister, Rita, in Lake Tahoe and Reno.

Gil is survived by her sister, Simone, of Montreal, Canada, and was predeceased by sisters, Laurette, Olivette, Fernande and Rita. Numerous nieces and nephews from across Canada will be joined by close friends from Quebec and the U.S.A. to share in the light Gil brought to all, including Ms. Paws 1 and 2, her beloved cats.

Gil’s talents in loving friendships, illustrated writings, and stories of the classics or world travel will be shared along with condolences at Lepine Cloutier, 301 Rang St. Anne, Quebec City, with a prayer celebration at 3 p.m. Oct. 27.
