Girls can Flaunt It on Sunday at Sierra-at-Tahoe

Female snowboarders will be in the spotlight on Sunday at Sierra-at-Tahoe.

Sierra is hosting the Billabong Flaunt It Girls Slopestyle and Rail Jam, the sixth league of the amateur series. Winners will receive travel arrangements and accommodations for the finals on March 28 in Quebec.

The slopestyle contest will be held on Bashful in the morning, with the afternoon rail jam on Lower Bashful.

Who better to judge the contestants than home-grown snowboarding stars Jamie and Joanie Anderson? The sisters learned their craft at Sierra-at-Tahoe.

Registration runs from 8-9:30 Sunday in the Aspen Cafe. The slopestyle jam begins at 10:30 a.m., and the rail jam at 1:30 p.m.

A Flaunt It preparty is scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Beach Hut Deli in South Lake Tahoe. Jamie Anderson will make a special appearance, and there will be giveaways and movie screenings.
