Glove drive this weekend as Giants square off with Reds

SAN FRANCISCO – As the Giants get ready to square off with the Cincinnati Reds this Saturday, the Giants Community Fund will be hosting its annual Glove Drive in which fans attending the game are encouraged to bring new or gently used baseball gloves to the ballpark.

Fans who donate gloves will receive a Brian Wilson or Giants World Champions pin.

Supporters of the Giants Community Fund can also participate through an in-game silent auction at the Community Clubhouse as well as a post-game live auction with Giant players and wives, featuring unique memorabilia and experience packages for the ultimate fan.

Through the annual Glove Drive, fans can help the Giants Community Fund provide gloves to thousands of kids participating in the Fund’s Junior Giants program throughout Northern California enabling them to play baseball and empowering them with life skills.

For those not able to attend, they can still help out by making a donation by visiting http://www.jrgiants.org .
