Golf tourney benifits Boys and Girls Club

The Boys and Girls Club of Lake Tahoe has scheduled its ninth annual golf extravaganza. The fund-raising event will take place Oct. 14 at the Edgewood Tahoe golf course. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and play will get under way at 10 a.m.

Registration fee is $200 per player with 100 percent of each donation going directly to the Boys and Girls Club of Lake Tahoe. Participants will be provided a continental breakfast, entry into the awards buffet dinner at Edgewood Tahoe, golf cart, range balls, a commemorative item and live auction.

There will be two divisions using different golf formats. Division One will be the four-person scramble format. Division Two, for the more serious golfer, will be a “best ball” format. In this format the best net score for each hole will be used for team scoring. All team members using this format must have a current golf handicap, list their GHIN number on the application and USGA handicap index number.

Organizers are seeking golfers, hole sponsors and auction items for the live auction that had been added to this years event.

For an application, more information, to donate an item for the auction or to become a hole sponsor call (530) 542-0838.
