Locals and out-of-town visitors, who come each year to attend two fundraising events for the International Good Samaritans Safe Ride Service – Harleys At The Horizon and the Cool September Days Car show – recently voted for their favorite Lake Tahoe restaurants. The two categories are Best Food and Best Service.

The two winning restaurants were Scusa! On Ski Run for Best Food and Cabo Wabo at Harveys for Best Service. These two restaurants will be Good Sams featured restaurants all summer long at each of the car and motorcycle shows.

Harleys At The Horizon Motorcycle Show is now called Rolling Chrome-Tahoe Thunder and will be held Friday through Sunday at both the Horizon Casino Resort and the new MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa.

The 21st annual Cool September Days Car Show will be held Sept. 13 through 17, and will also move to both sides of Highway 50 at the Horizon and MontBleu resorts.

The 1953 Hot Rod Chevy pick-up and the new custom Harley will be given away Sept. 24. Raffle tickets for $5 each are available at the South Tahoe Thrift and Antique Company. For information about becoming a life-saving sponsor for the Good Sams Safe Ride Service, car or motorcycle show information, or to get raffle tickets by mail, call (530) 541-7300.
