Green building will be the focus of a presentation Wednesday hosted by the Upper Truckee River Watershed Group.

The presentation will explain the US Green Building Council’s commercial green-building rating system, the economics of green building and the technologies that comprise green building.

Water conservation, energy efficiency, the impact on the environment of green building materials and resources, and indoor environmental quality also will be discussed.

The presentation will be led by Scott Terrell, a certified energy manager and residential energy auditor. Terrell also will teach an energy-auditing course at Lake Tahoe Community College this spring.

The presentation will be held at Lake Tahoe Community College, Room A 2-51. The presentation is free, open to the public and starts at 6:30 p.m. Seating is limited.
