Green lodging conference at Embassy this month

The West Coast Green Lodging Conference will be held from Aug. 22-25 at Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe.

The event is a “how to” conference for owners, general managers and engineers. The conference will offer case studies and site tours about what investments offer the fastest and most valuable return.

The conference will discuss why going green is valuable, how to go green, the financial impact of going green, the public relations benefits of going green and how the community benefits from green efforts.

Keynote speaker is Glenn Hasek, the publisher and editor of the Cleveland, Ohio-based Green Lodging News. He is the president of Hasek Communications, a public relations consulting company and has more than 15 years of travel industry experience.
