Green Today, a tribute to Green Day, plays the casino’s Vinyl venue, bringing all of the pop-punk band’s hits to the stage.

“In January of 2011, Green Today, a tribute to Green Day, was formed based on three basic ideas: The need to rock, our love for Green Day, and most importantly, so many others love Green Day too! With this in mind, Green Today, a Tribute to Green Day has created a high energy live Green Day tribute show with the songs, look, harmonies, and hooks that Green Day fans deserve,” according to the band’s online biography.

The band plays song list includes “2000 Light Years Away,” “When I Come Around,” “Longview,” “Basket Case,” “American Idiot,” “Minority” and more.

“Onstage, Members Brian Wedmore as Billie Joe Armstrong, (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Jim Scarlett as Mike Dirnt (Bass Guitar/Backing Vocals), Tom Varga as Tre Cool (Drums), and Kevin Tapia as Jason White (Guitar/Backing Vocals) genuinely project an appreciation and enthusiasm for Green Day, that is contagious and will surely infect all who are in attendance,” according to the bio.

Doors open to the show at 9 p.m., with music starting at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 and include one drink.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe is located at 50 U.S. Highway 50 in Stateline.
