Groove & Brews at Tallac Brewery welcomes summer
June 1, 2011
How about this for an outdoor concert theme? A pray for no more snow party.
Nice weather will be a welcome condition Saturday for Groove & Brews at the Tallac Brewery on Eloise Avenue in South Lake Tahoe. Three bands and performances by the Willy Woggle Circus and Community Project.
The event is one of many to be presented this summer by Pet Projekt, which on July 9 will bring a well-know British funk band, the New Mastersounds, to the Tallac Brewery.
“It’s a beginning of summer party,” said Jason Lampman of Adient Zoo, Saturday’s headliner. “We’ll pray for no more snow for sure.”
Lampman and Dan Green, both guitarists, and bassist Kurt Peckler used to play in the band Waiting for T.I.M. Green and Lampman also played in Saturn Rising. An indie rock band, Adient Zoo, will play this summer in Tahoe, Davis, Santa Rosa and Humboldt County. It’s fourth member is drummer Josh Chaddock.
Peckler this spring graduated with degree in jazz music from Sonoma State University.

Lampman said the band has some new material and hopes to have an album to release in the fall.
“Mt. Tallac its a good local spot,” Lampman said. “We like to play places that help out local business and Brian (Kronenberg of Pet Projekt) is putting us with a lot of band that we respect.”
The bluegrass band Bison featuring Andy Hatch also performs Saturday along with Kronenberg’s group, Tick Talk Trio. There also will be DJs.
