Growth issues on tap for El Dorado County board

Emily Aughinbaugh, Tribune staff writer

The results of a three-month study of El Dorado County growth issues will be presented to the Board of Supervisors Tuesday.

The Board hired consulting firm CDR Associates for $30,000 to interview various growth stakeholders in the county and to determine whether the community can support a consensus-based approach to solving growing pains, primarily felt on the West Slope.

Supervisor Dave Solaro said West Slope growth issues, especially congested roadways through Placerville, also affect Tahoe’s economy, especially businesses that rely on West Coast patronage.

What: Last El Dorado County Board of Supervisors meeting this year

When: 9 a.m., Tuesday

Where: 330 Fair Lane, Placerville
