Gunman inside Wal-Mart captured by Douglas and Carson deputies
A man with a pellet gun brandished the weapon at several customers inside Wal-Mart in Carson Valley this evening, and, following a foot chase, was apprehended at 5:25 p.m.
Douglas County and Carson City sheriff’s officers apparently apprehended the man after he walked into Trader Joe’s, causing employees to flee the store. Before entering Trader Joe’s he was inside Wal-Mart where several people, using cell phones, called 911 to report the man had brandished the weapon at customers and employees.
The man apparently ditched the pellet gun and a backpack behind Trader Joe’s, according to police scanner traffic reports.
The man is described as white, wearing a black hoodie shirt and tan khaki pants.
