Halloween haunts: Festive parties held around the Tahoe Basin
Halloween is here! Countless celebrations are being held in honor of the spookiest time of year, so we’ve gathered a list of the top parties to check out — if you play your cards right, you might be able to attend more than one.
Rockin’ Dead Halloween Bash at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino
Hard Rock Hotel and Casino kicks celebrations off on Friday, Oct. 27, with its 3rd annual Rockin’ Dead Halloween Bash, which begins at 9 p.m. and lasts until 2 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28. Featuring drinks, dancing and a costume contest, it’s a loaded evening that guests can enjoy for a mere $10.
Be sure to dress for success, as attendees have the chance to win up to $500 in cash along with a prize package. Apart from overall best costume, outfits will be judged on creativity, originality and how realistic they are (among other categories). Avoid masks, fake (and real) weapons, and make-up that obscures identity.
