SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Mountain West Aviation announced the completion of a new executive hangar at Lake Tahoe Airport this week.

Completion of the hangar is the “most significant private investment in the history of Lake Tahoe Airport” and is the first phase of a multiyear hangar redevelopment project at the airport, according to a statement from Mountain West.

The project was undertaken using sustainable building practices and should encourage pilots to stay in the area.

“The availability of a suitable executive hangar at Lake Tahoe Airport encourages aircraft owners and operators who would normally re-position their aircraft to Reno after dropping off passengers to now spend the night in the Lake Tahoe basin,” according to the statement.
