A performer from NBC’s “The Voice” is set to perform at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe this weekend.

San Francisco-based singer-songwriter Roem Baur plays a free show in the casino’s Vinyl music venue on Saturday night.

“A classically trained tenor with a four octave range and award-winning singer (MAMA and Elly Awards), Baur has begun to distinguish himself in the San Francisco scene with his unconventional takes on blues, soul and folk music coupled with the wit and energy he brings to his live performances,” according to Baur’s online biography. “Baur’s song work also draws inspiration from 60’s folk music, his early operatic training and years of touring internationally in choirs.”

After starting at bars in California’s Central Valley, Baur went on to play shows in the U.S., Thailand, Belize, Mexico and Argentina before settling in San Francisco.

“In 2011, he locked himself in a 100 year-old church sanctuary with a grand piano, a pawn-shop guitar and The Family Crest string quartet and nine nights later emerged with ‘The Thief,’ a cathartic, heart-breaking concept record of love and loss,” according to the bio.
