Harrah’s donates $130K to Lake Tahoe Angora fire fund; $55K to employees

The Lake Tahoe Angora Fire Fund received $130,650 from Harrah’s and Harveys

Lake Tahoe today.

The business also donated $55,000 to it’s own employees, said John Koster, regional president of Harrah’s Northern Nevada operations.



“B” Gorman, president of the Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce,

said the donation is still needed eight months after the Angora fire because



many fire survivors needs are unmet.

Many survivors are finding out new needs, and some are under insured, said

Carrie Reiter, Community Disaster Resource Center administrative director.
