Harrah’s gives Pony Express Awards

Harrah’s Lake Tahoe and Bill’s Casino recently honored 11 individuals and three teams with Pony Express “We Deliver” awards. The awards were presented during a gala party held in recognition of the employees’ ability to provide truly great service on a daily basis.

Individual Pony Express winners each received $500, a certificate and a special Pony Express leather jacket at the party. Team members each received an embroidered denim shirt and a $50 gift certificate.

Pony Express celebrants are John Swayne, VIP services; Angelique Jones, finance; Charlotte Rogers, beverage; Pam Donaldson, housekeeping; Anabelle Dacalos, slot operations; Lorna Lomibao, Bill’s slots; Don Dartt, table games; Tom Maloney, hotel; Mike Story, facilities; Thomas Weitnauer, Bill’s accounting; Thomas McKinnon, communications; Gary Selesner, Tahoe general manager.



Team winners are Slot Performance – Dan Post and Bob Putnam; Banquets – Jim Oglesby and Sonja Miller; Graveyard Heavy Duty Kitchen Maintenance – David Angeles, Alfredo Ao, Alfonso Briones, Forrest Brown, Rosito Cabanting, Rafael Contreras, Wilfredo Davila-Lopez, Ismaei Estrada-Landeros, Armando Gonzalez, Gabino Hernandez, Elma Jacusalem, Modesto Jacusalem, Luis Lorenzana, Heliodoro Mariscal, Mandoye N’Doye, Cesar Pulido-Perez, Gerardo Pulido-Perez, Jose Pulido, Fernando Ramierez-Suarez, Florentino Ramos, Jose Rivera, Antonio Sanches and Jesus Zepeda.

Edgewood Tahoe to host US Open qualifier

STATELINE, Nev. — The United States Golf Association recently announced that Edgewood Tahoe Resort will host one of 109 local qualifying tournaments for the 2021 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines.
