Harrah’s Tahoe hosts blood drive

While summer months mean fun, vacations and warm weather, it also brings an increased number of accidents, fires and other emergencies that deplete the blood supply. The demand for blood is constant, but historically increases in the summer. The blood supply is further strained, not only by this increase but by the national trend of fewer and fewer people donating in the summertime.

To encourage community members to donate Harrah’s Tahoe and United Blood Services will host Harrah’s Annual Summer Blood Drive from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 18 at Harrah’s Special Events Center. All community members 17 years of age and older and in relatively good health are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and save a life. Everyone should bring identification.

For more information call Harrah’s Tahoe benefits office at (775)588-6611, Ext. 2129.
