Harrah’s/Harveys Lake Tahoe has installed electric vehicle-charging stations at both properties.

Eight stations were installed at Harrah’s Reno and another eight stations are located at the Lake Tahoe properties, according to a press release. A grand-opening celebration was held Friday. The deployment of charging stations is designed to encourage cleaner transportation and the broader use of renewable energy, the release stated. Access to the charging stations is free to the public.

“We are excited to pilot the electric vehicle charging stations for Caesars Entertainment and to be partnering with Schneider Electric in this important sustainability project,” John Koster, regional president for Caesars operations in northern Nevada and Laughlin, stated in the release. “Harrah’s properties in northern Nevada are the perfect locations to launch yet another facet of CodeGreen and further our company’s commitment to sustainability and responsible environmental practices.”

The charging stations are supplied by Schneider Electric’s EVlink, a technology which allows guests a convenient way to charge electric vehicles, the release stated.
