Hartley Westbrook

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson, Calif., for Hartley Westbrook, who passed away July 5, 2007, at his residence in Southhaven, Miss. He was 48.

Hartley was born Aug. 28, 1958, in Modesto, Calif. He was a 1976 graduate of Patterson Senior High School, where he participated in athletics and was involved in FFA. He graduated from Iowa State University in 1982 with a degree in agronomy. Hartley began his 24 years of employment with Harrah’s in South Lake Tahoe. In 1991 he moved to Tunica, Miss., where he became assistant casino manager. He enjoyed fishing, working on his home and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Westbrook of Southhaven; son, Darryl Conen of Southhaven; daughters, Marlena Conen-Rines and her husband, Beau of Southhaven, and Jessica Conen of Hattiesburg, Miss.; grandchildren, Mackensey Hopkins and Daeton Rines; parents, Mickey Westbrook of Oxnard, Calif., and Don Westbrook and his wife Ruth of Westley, Calif.; brothers, Donald Westbrook and his wife Sherrie of Reedley, Calif., and Dennis Westbrook of Patterson; sisters, Diana Markum of Gustine, Calif., Peggy Perez and her husband Danny of Westley, Donna Ledford of Oxnard, and Lori Westbrook and her husband Joe Medwick of Rhine Beck, N.Y.; nieces and nephews, Peter, Casie, Raya, Sarah, Lori, Julie, Stephen and Donald III; and many cousins, especially the Chunns and Westbrooks.
