Healing & Wellness Immersion Day offers the health alternatives
TRUCKEE, Calif. – When Mary Sutton, owner, Sierra Sports & Spine Healing Center set out to create a whole body health and healing center, she meant business. Her well-known physical therapy practice has re-emerged as a regional healing center for people seeking the latest healing therapies and wellness strategies.
Sutton’s facility has offered physical therapy, aqua therapy, yoga, chiropractic, massage and gym memberships, but the center has expanded to include fitness classes for seniors, acupuncture, sound therapy, nutrition, herbal medicine, meditation, quantum biofeedback, raindrop Reiki, craniosacral therapy, infrared sauna, pool, qi gong and back classes, as well as chronic pain reduction, and immune system boosting and cleansing programs. They also sell shower filters, alkaline water systems, organic skin care products, teas and super foods.
Says Sutton, “One out of three people will get cancer. Plus, prescription drugs aren’t always the answer for some health issues. I want to give people choices for getting well or staying well with more natural, alternative methods – something for every body!”
The Healing & Wellness Immersion Day, Oct. 2, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., 12257 Business Park Drive, #11, Truckee, will showcase the new facility and give people a chance to talk to professional practitioners.
“The day will be interactive and educational,” said Sutton. “People are going to be amazed with our cutting edge methods and programs, especially the Indigo Biofeedback.”
Learn about body alkalizing, harmful electricity, super foods, herbal medicine, cleansing, cold laser therapy and raindrop Reiki. Attendees can also get a physical therapy consultation, sample the sound therapy table, the chi machine and ear acupuncture. Additionally, visitors can have a chiropractic evaluation, an introductory biofeedback session, take an environmental and toxic stress assessment, enjoy foot reflexology or experience a detox footbath. Prizes, discount coupons and reduced prices on gym memberships and other services will be available that day.
