Heart attack kills man at ski resort

A 45-year-old man died at Heavenly Ski Resort Sunday evening, after complaining of chest pain and shortness of breath on the Sky Deck located at the base of the Sky Express chairlift, South Lake Tahoe firefighters said.

The man was identified as John Noel of El Paso, Texas, according to the El Dorado County Coroner’s Office.

Heavenly Ski Patrol, which called for assistance 3:50 p.m., transported the man to the aerial tram. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was administered, but the patient was pronounced dead at the base of the tram.
