Heartstrings at Tahoe opens

Provided to the Tribune

Heartstrings at Tahoe has opened at the Horizon Resort and Casino.

A unique gallery, gift and artisan shop, Heartstrings features one-of-a-kind works by local artists. The shop is manned by the artists themselves, so visitors will have an opportunity to learn about the art by the person who actually created the piece.

Items on sale include fine art photography, featuring scenes and wildlife from the Tahoe area and around the world; gift and decor items, such as hand-painted silks and stemware, unique paintings in watercolor; glass and metal art, ranging from platters and vases to garden art, mantle pieces and sun catchers.

Artists may also be available to work with customers on special projects.

Current hours vary between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., and the store is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Hours will be adjusted as summer traffic increases.
