Heavenly Ski Resort to open Friday

With the help of the largest snowmaking system in the West, Heavenly Ski Resort plans to be the first resort at Lake Tahoe to open this season.

The resort plans to open Patsy’s run Friday at 10 a.m.

“Last night’s storm brought not only 4 to 6 inches of natural snow but significantly colder temperatures,” said Dennis Harmon, Heavenly’s managing director. “We will continue making snow throughout the coming week as temperatures permit and will open this Friday with as much snow as possible.”

Base depths at Patsy’s are expected to be 12 to 18 inches, and specially reduced lift tickets will be $15 for adults and $10 for children.
