Heavy metal and ugly sweaters will finally join forces at the South Shore this Saturday.

South Shore metal band Idekay headlines a Saturday night ugly sweater party at Stateline’s Lakeview Loft. The band will also celebrate its 10-year anniversary with a show in Reno in March.

“Mathematical guitar riffs and lyrics of decay ensnare you, drum beats that don’t miss and menacing bass lines will electrify your inner beast,” according to the band’s online biography. “This is Idekay, this is metal. Created February 2006 in South Lake Tahoe and bred from the brutality of Metal, Thrash and Hardcore, the artistic ability of these five men is mind blowing.”

Stockton, California, death metal band Symbolik; Woodland, California, metal act Solitary Priapism; Sacramento, California, progressive metal band Jack Ketch and San Jose, California, glitch metal band the Soothing Sound of Flight are among the openers for Saturday’s show, which will also feature special guests G-Mo Skee, Oskillah and Abernasty.

Lakeview Loft is located at 148 U.S. Highway 50 in Stateline above Dart Beverage Center.
