Help out in planning of Humane Society events

Chairs, co-chairs, promoters, sales people and worker bees are invited to join in planning for two Lake Tahoe Humane Society and S.P.C.A. benefits: A Fall 2001 Pets and People Party and the Spring 2002 Tahoe’s Animal Ark Cruise.

The brainstorming and planning session will take place at 5:30 p.m. June 6 at the Humane Society education room, 1063 Magua St. in Meyers. Light refreshments will be served.

“The private rescue shelter is open. Now, let’s join together to keep it open,” said Barbara Winfield, volunteer board president.

The Lake Tahoe Humane Society and S.P.C.A. is a local 100 percent donation-supported organization, which receives no support from government or national agencies. Founded in Nevada in 1967, it has continually provided programs to serve the Great Lake Tahoe Area in California and Nevada, including Alpine County and the Carson Valley.
