Hike up Mount Rose

Provided to the Tribune

Join Tahoe Rim Trail Hike leaders Steve Balog and Julie Page on a journey beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at the Mount Rose trailhead to the waterfall.

Hikers will head toward Mount Rose, stopping at a waterfall for lunch, then continuing the loop back to the trailhead. There will be plenty of time to learn the wildflowers by name and to take photos.

The hike is a total of 7 miles, so bring a lunch. Children older than 10 are welcome, but no dogs. For more information, call (775) 298-0231.
