Historical museum opens for the summer

Provided to the TribuneThe Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum is open for the summer season and many exhibits of tghe Lake Tahoe area are available for visitors and residents to enjoy.

The Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum, 3058 Lake Tahoe Blvd., will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 1, 8 and 15. On June 21 summer hours will begin with the museum open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

In addition to the Lake Tahoe area artifacts displayed in the museum, visitors may view the 1930s-era log cabin and the 1860s Osgood’s Toll House on the site. Several videos regarding area history are available for viewing and for purchase. Also, the Lake Tahoe Historical Society provides a number of books for sale including several published by the Historical Society as well as by other authors.

A large photo collection is available and prints of historic photos may be ordered.



An admission of $2 for adults and $1 for children 5 years of age and over is requested from visitors.
