Historical society garden tour set for July 31

The seventh annual Garden Tour to benefit the Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 31.

Eight gardens in El Dorado County will be presented, five of which are on the property once owned by the Celio family. The tour will have a western theme, as the tour will be held on former ranch land.

Tickets are $20 and are available at the museum at 3058 Lake Tahoe Blvd. and at four local garden centers: Aspen Hollow, Nel’s Garden Center, Tahoe Outdoor Living and Sunbasin Nursery.

Tickets are limited. Proceeds support the museum.

A reprint of the original pastel artwork for the event by local artist Lois Loveless, featuring a scene in Christmas Valley, will be awarded during an opportunity drawing. Viewing of the framed print is also available at the museum Wednesday to Monday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For information, call (530) 541-5458.
