Historical Society gearing up for its 40th anniversary

Provided to the TribuneSharing a laugh at the Lake Tahoe Historial Society Museum holiday open house are, from left, Lynn Bajuk, LTHS president; Norma Santiago, El Dorado County supervisor; and Karen Carreau and Betty Mitchell, LTHS members. Peeking through from the back center is a photo of Emma Lawrence, wife of Melville Lawrence, who was proprietor of the Tallac Hotel.

This year’s Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum holiday open house in early December greeted visitors from Tahoe and off the hill.

The Lake Tahoe Historical Society will have its 40th anniversary in 2008, and there are several activities in the planning stages to celebrate the event. The museum, located at 3058 Lake Tahoe Blvd., is open during the summer months.
