Historical society to present garden tour

Provided to the Tribune

Lake Tahoe Historical Society will host its 10th annual garden tour on Saturday.

This year’s event will showcase the new gardens, fountains and tree carvings at Barton Memorial Hospital as well as nine other gardens around the community. The Healing Garden at Barton Memorial Hospital was a gift to the community from Jessica Ledbetter in memory of her parents and sister. The Barton/Ledbetter families have supported both the Historical Society and the hospital from their beginnings.

The tour will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets cost $25 and are available for purchase at the museum, 3058 Lake Tahoe Blvd., or at Aspen Hollow Nursery, Nel’s Garden Center, Sunbasin Landscape and Nursery and Tahoe Outdoor Living. Refreshments and lunch are included with the ticket and will be served on the patio at the hospital. Tickets are limited and advance purchase is encouraged.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum.

For more information, call the museum at 530-541-5458 or visit http://www.laketahoemuseum.org.
