History program honors Native American Women

Sarah Winnemucca is one of several Native American Women to be honored March 24 at the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center.

The Douglas County Historical Society will honor Native American Women at during the “Women In History” program at 2 p.m. March 24 at the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center,1477 Hwy 395 N., Gardnerville).

Dat-so-la-lee, Clara Frank, Suzy Dick, Sue Coleman and Sarah Winnemucca will be the honorees. Diana Borges will present a Chautauqua of Sarah Winnemucca. The program is free.
