History, recipes together in book

Tahoe Senior Plaza along with other American Baptist Homes of the West affordable housing communities have put together a compilation of 500 treasured recipes from residents and staff.

The “old time” pictures on the front cover and as category separators are from the staff’s personal photo albums. The recipe books are available for a donation of $12 each. All profits will go to the Margaret Weitkamp Emergency Assistance Fund. The purpose of the fund is to provide a source of energy funds for American Baptist Homes of the West affordable housing residents. This includes all residents at Tahoe Senior Plaza. This encompasses residents who are in temporary need of financial help. For example — an unexpected medical bill that would prove to be a financial hardship.

The cookbooks are available in the rental office at Tahoe Senior Plaza, 1101 Third St., South Lake Tahoe. There is a limited supply, so people should hurry to get their copy. The support of everyone is appreciated. For more information call (530) 542-7048.
