Holiday Faire this weekend at Tallac Historic Site
The Tahoe Tallac Association will host a Holiday Faire Friday through Sunday in the Valhalla Grand Hall, Tallac Historic Site. The hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The Faire will feature holiday crafts and gift items and entertainment from choir groups featuring local school children. Seasonal treats and the spirit of the season will get everyone in the mood for the holidays. Admission is free and free shuttle service will be provided from State route 89 to the Valhalla Grand Hall.
Approximately 30 of the finest crafters and the most exceptional holiday boutiques will be selling unique gifts, season crafts and ornaments. Only the highest quality, handmade items will be on display. If you are looking for something special as a gift or for your home, this will be the place to find it. As a special treat Father Christmas will be available for requests and posing for photos with the children and will greet the public. Merry carolers from the Lake Tahoe Unified School District will entertain with holiday music during the faire.
Valhalla Grand Hall, a historic estate built in the 1920s, is the perfect location for a holiday faire. The rustic building is the most exquisite location to celebrate the season. A magnificent 30-foot tree, sparkling white lights, a roaring fire in the massive stone fireplace and boughs of holly will deck the halls of Valhalla. Holiday treats like specialty cookies and chocolates and seasonal drinks like hot spiced cider, warm mulled wine and hot chocolate will be available while you shop.
Valhalla is located on the Historic Tallac site, three miles north of South Lake Tahoe on State route 89, just past Historic Camp Richardson. There will be free parking and free shuttle service from State route 89. The Valhalla Holiday Faire is sponsored by the Tahoe Tallac Association, a nonprofit arts organization.
