Holiday family movie night at LTCC

Coyote Claus, “LTCC’s in-house creator of Christmas cheer,” will be on hand for family photos Friday, Dec. 8.

Lake Tahoe Community College is inviting the community to come out an get in the holiday spirit Friday, Dec. 8, when the college hosts its "holiday family movie night."

The event will feature a screening of "The Polar Express" in LTCC's Duke Theatre. Coyote Claus, "LTCC's in-house creator of Christmas cheer," will be on hand for family photos, which will come in the form of a Christmas card on a flashdrive.

Admission to the event, which starts at 5:30 p.m., is $10 for adults, $5 for LTCC students and kids age 13 and younger, and $30 for a family pack (up to four people, includes cocoa and popcorn; additional family members $3 each). Tickets can be purchased online at ltccCONNECT.com or in person in the LTCC CONNECT office located in Room B107 on LTCC's campus, or at the door of the Duke Theatre on Friday.

LTCC encourages attendees to bring canned foods, which will be collected and distributed to LTCC students who are in need. Leftover contributions will then be given to Christmas Cheer. Movie Night participants who donate at least four canned good items will receive a voucher for a free hot chocolate or popcorn.
