Holmlund inducted into Laurel Society

Lucille Holmlund was inducted into the Laurel Society at a recent meeting of Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra. Provided to the Tahoe Daily Tribune

At a recent Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra meeting, Lucille Holmlund was “showered” with roses and compliments and presented with a beautiful golden Laurel Society pin with a sapphire gemstone.

The pin indicates her induction into the Soroptimist International of the Americas Federation’s Laurel Society. The society is supported by donations by individual clubs that enable the club to honor members whose contributions of time, talent and treasure deserve a special acknowledgment. These contributions support the federation projects such as the Women’s Opportunity Award program, which provides cash grants for women seeking to improve.
