Holy Land explorer to present lecture
Professor Tom Meyer, a Holy Land explorer, will be presenting a lecture Sunday at First Baptist Church.
Meyer has climbed the pyramids in Egypt, explored Petra, walked around the Sea of Galilee and explored the entire Holy Land, according to a press release. He is an author on the culture and religion of the Middle East, and will speak from the book of Genesis on Hebrew thought and practice with an emphasis on the culture, mannerisms, and geography of the Holy Land.
Educated in Jerusalem, Meyer will discuss his recent four-year stint in the Middle East, as well as presenting a Hebrew reading of the first book of the most famous book in the world.
The talk will take place at 11 a.m. at the church, located at 1053 Wildwood Ave.
