‘Hope of America’

The Kiwanis Club of Lake Tahoe honored its Hope of America winners during the service club’s weekly luncheon.

The nomination criteria for the Hope of America recognition is:

— Must be a graduating fifth-grade student.

— Must demonstrate excellence in each of the following areas: leadership, ethical and moral character, outstanding citizenship, and academic accomplishment.

The winners are Emily Rives, Bijou Community School; Janelle Spandau Buts, Sierra House Elementary School; Adam MacLean, Tahoe Valley Elementary School; and Joshua Welch, Zephyr Cove Elementary School.
