Lake Tahoe Snowmobile Club members have been busy with their summer activities, including cleaning up their section of the highway from Luther Pass to Pickets Junction leading into Hope Valley.

The club won the “Volunteer of the Year” award from Cal-Trans last year and David Moffett, highway cleanup chairman, and his wife, Barbara, traveled to Sacramento recently to accept the award for the club.

Other summer activities include maintenance on the warning hut built by the club near Blue Lakes, a club barbecue, planning sessions for next season rides and trips and charitable events. Regular meetings will resume in October. For more information call Pliny Olivier, club president, at (775) 588-1748.
